A great opening day to the SUP season on the Nehalem River.
What a beautiful morning on the river. I started out before my group showed up by doing a quick 6 mile paddle past Wheeler and back. No one around except some deer on the islands and some eagles flying above and some Mallards looking for some privacy and lots of swallows having out under the bridge. Got back to the dock and prepared for the class, they showed up early and that was perfect. Here are some shots of this lovely family visiting from Arizona. Their daughter is graduating from Lewis and Clark and the coast and a SUP paddle was part of a perfect way to celebrate. I am a lucky person that I get to be part of these celebrations in life!
